Privacy Policy

We run a deliberately minimal store: no user accounts, no customer database of our own, no passwords. The personal data involved in a purchase is your email address and billing details, and those are processed by the payment and email services below — we use your email to deliver your downloads and to help you if something goes wrong.

• Email address — collected at checkout, used to send your download links and receipts, and to handle support requests.
• Billing details (name, billing address, payment method) — entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout, processed by Stripe to take payment and calculate tax. Your card number never touches our servers.

• Stripe — payment processing, receipts, and tax calculation. Order records live in Stripe.
• Resend — sends the download-delivery email from downloads@stairway.audio.
• Vercel — hosts this site and privately stores the installer files your signed download links point to.
• Google Analytics (if enabled) — measures how the site is used: pages viewed, plugins looked at, and completed purchases (order total, tax, and which plugins — never your name or card details). Purchase events are sent from our server after Stripe confirms payment, with your email included only in hashed form and only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
• Meta (if enabled) — we may use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure ads. These send purchase events (with a hashed email) to Meta; they are off unless configured.

Your shopping bag is stored in your browser’s local storage — it never leaves your device. We set no tracking cookies of our own; Google Analytics and, if enabled, the Meta Pixel set theirs per their own policies, and Stripe’s checkout sets its own.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you accept them in the banner — until then Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals. Your choice is remembered in local storage; clear your site data to be asked again.

Order and payment records are retained in Stripe for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Delivery-email records are kept only as long as needed to operate the store and provide support.

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email support@stairway.audio and we’ll take care of it.

Our store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
